| Cole agrees new deal |

According to reports, left back understudy Ashley Cole has agreed a new five-year deal at the club. This comes as welcome news following recent the departures of players thought to be possible future first-teamers (eg McGovern, Black, Gray, Bothroyd).
Cole impressed on loan to Palace last season, so much that they
wanted to buy him, and he's reckoned to be a future Enghland International.
Last week Ashley scored
for England U21. Cynics will say that, in the light of recent attention (and impending transfer rule changes), Arsenal are just making sure that they don't lose
their asset for nothing. Cole's previous contract would have run out in a year.
The only thing is, with Silvinho in front of him, how many chances will Cole be getting?
