The FA have found Patrick Vieira guilty of one of the two
misconduct charges arising from TV coverage of the Leeds game.
He was cleared of headbutting Erik Bakke, but found guilty of the alleged kick at his friend Olivier Dacourt. This is despite
Dacourt's own conviction that there was nothing in the incident
for the FA to concern themselves over.
There's no word from Arsenal at present, although there have been
indications that they'd be prepared to defend him to the samje extent as they recently defended Arsene Wenger.
Vieira faces a one match ban, as opposed to the 3 game suspension people have been saying he could get if found guilty of both offences.
Acording to this report in The Times, Patrick's ban starts immediately, so he
misses Saturday's visit by Ipswich. Not the match in 2 weeks time at Old Trafford. |
