As we suspected,
Dennis Bergkamp's injury is serious enough to prevent him
from playing in the big match in Munich on Wednesday.
You can read Dennis's own thoughts on this on
his official website.
Meanwhile UEFA have confirmed that our match may have to be
postponed, if the Spartak-Lyon game is called off because of the
weather. They say that "there is a need to
play the games simultaneously and if the Spartak game
was cancelled it would be up to the cup competition
committee to decide on what should happen."
With Dennis out, and Kanu having to use 4 planes to get to the game, maybe a postponement wouldn't be such a bad result. It'd certainly mess up a lot of people's weeks though.
More on both stories at Sporting Life.
