Hidden away in this soccernet piece (primarily about Keown's
hopes for getting back into the England side since Sol Campbell
hit the "self destruct" button in the FA Cup semi) is the rumour
we've all been hoping for (now we just have to hope it's true).
What they say, is that both Bergkamp and Parlour have a good chance of
being fit for the FA Cup final.
Parlour's back problem is said to be easing. He is due
to return to training by Wednesday and could even be in the team
for the trip to Derby on Saturday.
Dennis is a little further off. His return from an achilles
injury has suffered a few set-backs, but he could be back in training by the end of the week which would give him a fortnight
before the final. Of course, Bergkamp also has problems playing in other countries, but we're assuming that Wenger would let him
take the train or car, rather than the plane, to this one!
See FA Cup final preview
for loads more including history, omens, Cardiff info,
and links to the other relevant sites and pages. Latest is that Arsenal claim that finals never go to replays. Good thing no-one told Andy Linighan!
