A British tabloid gleefully reports that Sylvain Wiltord went missing from Arsenal training this week, instead going home to attend a charity function. The report mentions a fuming manager Arsène Wenger (as if...), a certain start for Dennis Bergkamp in Saturday's FA Cup final etc. etc. This is all nonsense, according to an official club statement and several other reports today. Wiltord was at the training ground for treatment on Tuesday, went to France and a charity event with permission from the club, and had the day off Wednesday - like all the other Arsenal players. Someone with an agenda to upset the Arsenal camp before the final...? |
