Fredrik Ljungberg has squashed all rumours about leaving Arsenal by signing a new deal. The Sweden international will stay at Highbury until 2006 (but will move to a new stadium with the rest of the club, of course...) Swedish daily Aftonbladet reports that Ljungberg's new deal will earn him 40 million Swedish kroner per year, roughly GBP 3 million. "I won't comment on the amount, but I'm thrilled that the contract talks went OK," Ljungberg says. |
