Sol Campbell's ankle injury will keep him out of Arsenal's first pre-season friendly, tomorrow night at Borehamwood.
Sol had trouble with both ankles towards the end of last season.
In case you'd forgotten, one injury thwarted his attempt to keep Tottenham in the FA Cup single-handed. His last action in a
Tottenham shirt was to watch Vieira score as he limped off.
It's far from certain that Sol will be fit in time for the
start of the season on August 18th. See BBC Sport.
Also on the pre-season side of things, worth noting that tickets for the match at Rushden & Diamonds on Saturday week (21st) go on general sale on Monday
(see this page for details including box office phone number). The match is all-ticket.
