As his contract obliges him, Patrick Vieira duly met for pre-season training today. Sky Sports, Soccernet and Ananova all confirm this.

The future of the Frech international isn't clear, and there are still a number of rumours flying around:
(1) he will make a statement where he makes it clear that he loves Arsenal, can't imagine what all the fuss is about, and that he's really, really sorry for having a stupid agent (as if...)
(2) he will say that he trains and plays while waiting for Arsenal to let him go, or
(3) something in between, i.e. declaring a love for the club and being sorry up front, while in the back making a deal to stay for one more year before being sold.

Vieira may even get a big fat pay rise out of all this ruckus, bringing his wages alongside the new deals of Sol Campbell and Fredrik Ljungberg.

Whichever way, he's still an Arsenal player until the club tells us otherwise.
