Junichi Inamoto's move to Arsenal has forced his withdrawal from the annual J-League All Star Game. Over a million J-League fans cast their votes for which players should appear in the August 4 showcase event - and for the second time in his career, Inamoto topped the poll. As such, he would have been named captain of the Western XI.
Quoted in the Daily Yomiuri, he says: "I hope to adapt to soccer in England as soon as possible, and will do my best to meet everyone's expectations." Cool.
