Writing on his official website, Sylvain Wiltord says he is increasingly convinced that his decision to stay at Arsenal was the right one.

'I've thought a lot about it,' he writes, 'I think there are things to be done at this club. I love the passion of the English, the contact with the fans each week, the desire to do well, and to give your all on the field. I have no regrets.'

On the prospect of not being guaranteed a first team place, Wiltord seems pretty positive. 'Not playing is never easy,' he writes. 'But you have to accept the competition. My only hope is to play a bit more in the Champions League.'
