Following my comments about Edu's whereabouts in this story on Silvinho and the
summer's Brasilian recruits, regular correspondent Charles Sultan
writes to inform us (all) that all Edu has is a broken foot. Charles
met him a week before the start of the season....
"He was on crutches and his left foot was heavily bandaged in plasted. He was hobbling through the shopping centre with his other half."
"I walked up to him and spoke to him and wished him all the best for the season. We spoke in English and he had no problem with that."
"A week later the papers printed he had a back injury but that was never the case. Arsenal is a closed shop and the papers speculate for that reason. Edu had a broken left foot and nothing else."
Let's hope it clears up in time for him to play some
part in the first team this season.
