Martin Keown has been given a one-match ban, and a £10-grand fine, following the fiery clash with Leeds at Highbury at the end of last season (as opposed to the fiery clash early this season). The FA ruled that the allegation of a strike against Mark Viduka had been proven, but that the stamp on Lee Bowyer was not.
Keown has 14 days to appeal and it's not clear yet whether he will. But in a statement on Arsenal.com he does say: 'Although I'm frustrated to be missing a match for Arsenal, the outcome demonstrates that I did not act maliciously.'
The good news is that Martin is ready to return to action with the first team, having played 90 minutes in the "reserve.html" win over Tottenham.
