Francis Jeffers scored another 2 goals as Arsenal reserves beat Chelsea 5-0 last night.
But later in he limped off with what is described as a "reaction to his ankle injury". This is the same ankle problem that's kept him out for most of the season, and which was known about before we paid £10million for him (that's less than Leeds paid for Fowler, but only just).
One has to wonder when this investment might come good. Last
season's equivalent, the Brasilian Edu, also scored 2 goals
in the match but did nit limp off. So presumably he's still in with a chance of breaking into the first team ahead of Jeffers.
The good news from the match is that Wright, Dixon, and Parlour
all played and are in contention for the Elland Rd match on Sunday.
