David Seaman made his long-awaited comeback last night,
in a 1-0 win over Fulham at Barnet's Underhill stadium.
England's number 1 (probably) came through the game
without any reaction to his shoulder injury. He was even
forced to make a save, testing
his shoulder fully as the keeper stretched to tip Jon
Harley's chip over the bar.
Seaman is hoping to be back in first team action soon,
with his World Cup status hanging in the balance. But
he won't be rushing himself,
"I've got one chance to make it right and I've made sure it's going to be right, and fingers crossed it will stay strong - because if anything happens now I'm really struggling. But the way things are going, I'm really happy."

Liek Seaman, Tony Adams also played the full 90 minutes, and
Mortiz Volz also returned following injury. The goal was scored by
Jeremie Aliadiare, who Wenger has tipped for first team action before long (We've heard that before. But with Henry and
Bergkamp both likely to face bans soon, it could happen this time).
Fulham had a man sent off after 65 minutes, but Stathis Tavlaridis levelled the numbers 15 minutes later with his
second yellow card.
