Arsenal's lack of left-backs has given the press plenty of opportunity to link us with a panic buy. This morning everyone was convinced Arsene Wenger was on the brink of drafting in Parma's veteran defender Antonio Benarrivo but Le Boss has announced that there will be no move for the former Italian international because Lauren has recovered from the injury he sustained against Bayer Leverkusen.
Wenger said: "We were interested in bringing a left-back in on-loan but we won't do that...Lauren is OK and should play tomorrow."
Wenger also had some good news on Ashley Cole saying that our first choice left-back should be back in action within 10 days. That will make Gary Lewin happy. The Arsenal physio is the most overworked man at Highbury at the moment, here's the proof
