It has been brought to Arseweb's attention that Stuart Taylor has played in nine Premiership games this season whilst David Seaman and Richard Wright were both injured. He would need to make one more appearance to gain the ten that would give him a well deserved Premiership medal. Here's hoping that Arsene names him on the bench tommorrow and he appears as a 90th minute substitute!
Rupe adds...
We have it on good authority that Taylor himself has been
told that Alex Manninger got a medal in 1998, when he made a
total of 16 domestic appearances but only 7 in the league.
So he reckons he's getting one. But a run-out against Everton
would make it certain. Taylor has 5 cup appearances in addition to his 9 in the league.
Meanwhile Austrian number 1 Manninger (still an Arsenal player officially)
is to be rested for next week's friendly in Germany because
of "family problems". See OneFootball.com.
