Since Jon's piece yesterday there have been further claims and counter-claims regarding Junichi Inamoto's future at Arsenal.
To re-cap, claims that a Premier League spokesman had
told journalists that Ina had been released by the club on a free transfer were apparently denied by another such spokesman.
Well, Arsene Wenger has gone on record to deny those rumours,
"I have to be honest enough to think that if he will not be a regular member, to let him go somewhere else."
"But no decision on his future will be made until after the World Cup as it important at the moment that he is not bothered by this story, which I feel is a non-story."
But now the PFA have put their oar in. Gordon Taylor says "Inamoto has been released by Arsenal, who have not offered him new terms.
He is on the official Premier League list of players who are out of contract and available for free.
Whether Arsenal are having second thoughts about him, bearing in mind his form at the World Cup, it will be interesting to see."
Daniel Godfrey points out that Inamoto does not appear
on the PFA
list as it appears on their website.
