"I don't think we really need to buy too many more players," Arsenal manager Arsène Wenger says. Yesterday, the club announced the summer's first signing, Pascal Cygan. The manager says his 'instict' tells him there may be one more signing before the season starts. The financial crisis in world football makes Wenger cautious. "We have not spent crazy money on anyone so I am not under the same pressure as some of the other managers," he says. "The fact is, though, that football is in a depression and that means you have to be very cautious." The manager will 'have a look' at Arsenal's young players in pre-season and then make a decision whether to buy more players. Three left-sided midfielders are injured, but Wenger hesitates to invest in another: " ... it is difficult to go out and buy anybody because when the others come back we would have too many players for that position."
