The rumour was right.
Robert Pires played in a specially-arranged friendly today against Queen's Park Rangers.
The match was played behind closed doors, so we're reliant on
the Arsenal.com report.
Pirse played the full 90 minutes, and claimed not to be tired afterwards. Amazingly, he says he's physically fine, he just
needs a bit of time for the technical side of things to come back.
He even scored a goal and created another as a very strong Arsenal side ran out 5-1 winners. The other goals came from Edu, Stathis Tavlaridis, and the very exciting young Davids Bentley and Noble.
Kanu, Cygan, and Toure all played the first half, and first team keepers Taylor and Shabaan got 45 minutes each. Another youngster back in the ranks is full-back David Grondin.
