Emmanuel Petit is currently on crutches and may need an ankle operation, according to PA/SL's coverage of today's press conference. Tomorrow is the last game of Petit's current suspension, but he hasn't trained 'properly' for a month, having injured an ankle during the now rather tragic England-France game at Wembley. We can forget a comeback in the SheffU game anyway - 'I cannot tell you at the moment how much rest he will need,' says le Boss. Ominous. |
