Oleg Luzhny has been released after four seasons with Arsenal. He failed to score in 108 appearances, and was the target of both scorn and adoration from the fans. The Ukrainian national hero, touted as presidential candidate by diehard Dinamo Kiev fans, could both impress and anger Highbury punters with his somewhat uneven performances. Still, he will be remembered for his professional attitude and his grand finale in Cardiff. His very last appearance was in the 2003 FA Cup Final, where Thierry Henry pipped him for a Man-of-the-Match award many meant he deserved. More at arsenal.com.
