Nigerian forward Kanu will stay at Arsenal despite expecting limited first team opportunities the coming season. The reason is his desire to gain British citizenship, the Sunday People reports. British law state people can only apply for permanent residency if they have lived in the UK for five years or more. Kanu will meet that critieria on January 15 next year, five years to the day after he arrived for £4.5m from Inter Milan. |
