"... I'm yours," sang Patrick Vieira and Robert Pires yesterday, after sorting out contract extensions with Arsenal. Or was that the fans singing? A long, hot summer of endless speculation is over with Pires signing for three more years and Vieira for four - until 2007. Their own euphoric comments, as well as manager Arsène Wenger's, is available at arsenal.com. And with that much love, why all the fuss and the long wait? |
