Following today's win over Boro, Arsene Wenger confirmed that Jeremie Aliadiere
has twisted knee ligaments that will keep him out for 3 to 4 weeks.
With Kanu off to the African Nations Cup, in all probability before the next match on Sunday, and Bergkamp and Wiltord both injured,
this could leave us a bit short of strike partners for Thierry Henry.
One option, particulary in the League Cup games, would be to use
youngsters such as Quincy Owusu-Abeyie or new boy Micahal Papdopulos. But it might be more likely, especially in the league and cup games, that we'll see a regular drafted in. Freddie Ljungberg must be favourite, since he's done well in a Bergkamp type role before, and does it for Sweden.
Alternatively, we could use the 3 new strikers we're signing. |
