| Reyes likely to miss New Year games |

There is official word today that Jose Antonio Reyes knee problem, which has kept him out of the last few games, is likely to keep him out of the team going into the new year. He's expected to miss the trip to Charlton on Saturday and Tuesday's visit of Man City, for starters.
The good news is that Dennis Bergkamp faces a late test on his knee injury before the match at The Valley. With van Persie a bit off the boil in recent games, Bergkamp's availability could be crucial. Having said that, if he's not available then we do have plenty of options on the wings (eg Clichy, Pennant) which would allow Pires or Freddie to play up front. |
