David Bentley, who has done pretty well during his loan spell at Norwich, has suffered an injury which could keep him out of action for the rest of the season.
Scans have revealed a bad tear to the medial knee ligament, and he is expected to face 12 weeks or so on the sidelines.
The Canaries are to talk to Arsenal about the possibility of ending his loan spell early. This would involve us picking up his wages again, despite him having been injured playing for Norwich. It's possible that club will go for it though, because it would bring him back into the fold for his recuperation.
Norwich need to get rid of him so that they can bring another player in on loan. But it won't be an Arsenal player because we're short enough of midfielders at the moment as it is. |
