Nicolas Anelka will not be able to walk out of his contract with Arsenal, despite threats from himself and his agent brothers.

Alisdair Bell, a solicitor and adviser to UEFA on European Union matters, says to Sporting Life that Anelka's case resembles singer George Michael's struggle with record company giant Sony. Michael lost his case in the High Court in London, and was forced to buy his way out of his contract with the record company.

"Michael demanded the same thing as Anelka is demanding now, and that result was subject to English law, as will this one," Bell said.
