Russell Hoult
It seems that Le Boss has had the inspirational Baggies keeper watched a massive 13 times this season. The 30-year old keeper - despite unable to prevent the Baggies from being relegated - has been in fine form. There was one point where it was suggested in the media that Hoult was on the verge of an England call-up. That call never came but the rumours linking him to a host of Premiership clubs may yet be true.
Francis Jeffers
After getting Matthew Upson from us, Birmingham boss Steve Bruce looks to strengthen his squad with Francis Jeffers. Jeffers has struggled to make his mark at Highbury but that was due to a host of injuries that Arsenal have only recently discovered was misdiagnosed by the doctors at Everton!
Personally, I hope Jeffers stays. His record of goals scored v starts at both international and club level is astonishing, and as Le Boss said when he signed him, "He is a massive talent."
Martin Keown and David Seaman
Harry Redknapp is looking to bolster top-level experience at Portsmouth as the Division 1 champions look to mark a successful return to the top-flight. Seaman and Keown will invariably add to the other Premiership pensioners at Pompey - Tim Sherwood and The Merse are already there. Charlton veteran defender Chris Powell is also rumoured to have been targetted by Harry Redknapp.
Kanu
Arsenal had reportedly given permission to a number of Middle East clubs to speak to our Nigerian striker, but Kanu turned the offers down, and could in turn be leaving Highbury for nothing. |
