Manchester City manager Kevin Keegan replaces Peter Schmeichel with a new goalkeeper just as old: David Seaman. It's confirmed on the Manchester City homepage. More on a legend leaving Arsenal at the Guardian and the Mirror websites. Seaman leaves Arsenal after 13 seasons. Knowing he would not be first-choice goalkeeper next season, he makes the switch to prolong both his first team and international career. Last night, he signed a one-year contract, worth more than Ģ30,000 a week, with a view to another year's extention. Manchester City's UEFA Cup spot was what Seaman needed to sign, the Sun suggests. Seaman will turn 40 on September 19. He signed from Q.P.R. in 1990, and has won three league championships, three FA Cups, one League Cup and the European Cup Winners Cup with Arsenal.
