Borussia Dortmund's Jens Lehmann is linked with Arsenal. The deal is said to be in the Ģ1.5m to Ģ2m range. The former German international goalkeeper have already agreed to a three-year deal, according to the usually well-informed Kicker magazine's website. The club is obviously feeling the pressure, seemingly negotiating moves for several goalkeepers at the same time. The rumours about Lehmann, Santiago Caņizares and Sebastian Saja are all fairly credible - if such things exist during the silly season. Lehmann is a renowned hothead, with five career red cards - once being sent off for yelling at a teammate. Schmeichel go home! The 33-year-old has 16 caps for Germany, and has vast Champions League experience. AC Milan are among his former clubs. After leaving Italy for Dortmund he has been loathed by the fans after declaring his love for his former club: Dortmund's deadly rivals Schalke 04, as this Evening Standard piece points out. More on this at Sporting Life and the Fox Sports website. According to the BBC, Arsenal have 'tapped up' Lehmann in the Alex Ferguson style - speaking with the player without approaching the club first.
