Arsenal have finally signed David Seaman's short term successor: Jens Lehmann of Borussia Dortmund and Germany. The official confirmation is here, and even though Arsenal won't make the transfer fee public, it's believed to be between £1.5m and £2m. Lehmann, 33, reportedly has signed a three-year-contract, and been told he's first choice this coming season. On Sky News television, manager Arsène Wenger praised the performances of Stuart Taylor and Graham Stack against Austria Vienna, and emphasised that the best goalkeeper will play. Lehmann joins the squad tomorrow, and may make his debut against Besiktas in the final game of the Austrian tour. More at the Telegraph. According to Planet Football, Lehmann and Philippe Senderos will remain Arsenal's only summer signings.
