| Jeffers too expensive for Souness |

The latest in a long line of clubs to be linked with Arsenal's England striker Francis Jeffers is Blackburn. The reported £5m asking price, however, is too much for the Lancashire club. Several media outlets, including the Sun, say Rovers manager Graeme Souness believes it's too much, especially when taking Jeffers' £30k weekly wages into the calculation. Earlier, either the asking price (or maybe David Dein's German shepherds?) have scared Birmingham, Leeds, Everton and maybe even Tottenham away from Jeffers.
