It's being reported that Arsenal have signed Ajax right-back Hatem Trabelsi.
Today's Dail Mail said that the signing was imminent, and the Amsterdam tournament website claims it's already happened. No official confirmation as yet from either Arsenal or Ajax.
27 year old Trabelsi had put lots of top European clubs on alert after saying that he was looking to leave Ajax on a free, but a Dutch court ruling said that Ajax had a legal option to extend his contract. So Arsenal, if it is indeed true, will be paying Ajax the usual fee of Łundisclosed (depending on appearances). Newcastle have been said to be hoping to sign him. |
