Aliadiere returns from loan (very briefly) by Rupe

this is story 1134 of 1144 in this topic to date
Jeremie Aliadiere is reported on the official West Ham site as having returned to Arsenal from his loan spell at the Boleyn Ground.

Aliadiere went to Upton Park at the start of the season for a season-long loan but, as usual, got himself injured pretty much immediately. By the time he'd recovered he found himself struggling to get any action, with Sheringham, Harewood and Zamora ahead of him in the pecking order. Now that they've bought Dean Ashton and failed to get shot of Sheringham, Jeremie's chances were going to be even fewer and further between. He didn't do those chances any favours by being publicly critical of Alan Pardew's selection policy last month.

Jeremie made one start for the Hammers, against Charlton on New Year's Eve, and seven sub appearances.

A strange time for us to be recalling a striker, seeing as we've just signed two of them? Well, it sounds like he might not be back with us for long. The story reads, "...returned to Arsenal ahead of a proposed move to Wolverhampton Wanderers." They'll have to get a move on if it's to happen before the window closes.

We wish Jeremie all the best, wherever he ends up (for now, there's a spare place in our reserves following the departure of Quincy). He's looked promising when he's played but it's been very infrequent. He only ever seems to manage a couple of games at a time and then along comes another injury that takes him out for half a season or more.

Rupe adds...
Sure enough, they got their skates on, and Aliadiere's return to Arsenal was about as short-lived as you can get. He's gone to Wolves as rumoured, on loan for the rest of the season. It may be the best place for him, under Glenn Hoddle he'll presumably have access to special forces to keep him injury-free (and if he does get injured again, it'll be his own fault from a previous life).
