The Guardian is pretty adamant: they reckon they've seen a fax on Highbury notepaper saying that Arsenal have bought Dynamo Kiev full-back Oleg Luzhnyi for 1.8 million pounds. Luzhny is no spring chicken, with his 31st birthday coming up this August - so he'll fit in nicely.
A Kiev spokesman has (apparently) also said that Wenger is 'mad for (Sergei) Rebrov', but that Dynamo are reluctant to let him go, with strike-partner Andrei Shevchenko going to Milan. However, the same spokesman reckons that 'Rebrov hasn't been the same since he got married at Christmas.' |
