Midfielder Stephen Hughes, currently on a three-month loan to First Division Fulham, wants to leave Arsenal and make the move permanent. The 22-year-old midfielder has been told by manager Arsène Wenger that there is still a place for him in at Highbury, but Hughes says: "This is only a three-month loan, but I want it to become a permanent move." "It devastates me, but there is no future for me at Arsenal," Hughes says to Soccernet. "I have no problem with the better foreign players that come in, but I am not sure about some cheaper ones. I'm sure it blocks young kids coming through and I'm not sure it does the England manager any favours."
