Jurica Vranjes, the 19-year old captain of NK Osijek, dumped out of the UEFA Cup by West Ham, reckons he's on his way back to London, on a permanent basis.
'Arsenal have made a firm offer to the management of our club
but have still to agree conditions,' he said on Friday morning. 'Until they agree I don't know what will happen or when.'
But the move would fall foul of work permit restrictions: he has yet to play for the senior international side, never mind playing 75% of games in the last two years, which is the key qualification for non-EU citizens...
... which makes us wonder if it's just another case of a player using Arsenal's name as a negotiating tactic. |
