| Arsenal bid for Roma's Montella |

According to Italian paper Tuttosport, and subsequently quoted by Teamtalk, Arsenal have offered Roma £20m for unsettled striker, Vincenzo Montella.
Montella, aged 25 signed for Roma in the summer, when Sampdoria were relegated, for around £15m - but coach Ivan Capello is thought to be 'unhappy' with him. He has scored 54 goals in 83 Serie A appearances, which can't be bad - but do we really want to be buying strikers??
Roma are 'neither confirming nor denying', Arsenal (apparently) never comment on transfer speculation. |
