Manager Arsène Wenger is reported to prepare a massive "first-team revolution" over the next few seasons, replacing several of Arsenal's most popular players. However, according to Soccernet, the club's directors are sceptical about a possible £50 million transfer and wages bill at the end of the process. Among the players rumoured to be up for replacement are England veterans Tony Adams and David Seaman, as well as supposedly unsettled foreign stars like Marc Overmars, Dennis Bergkamp and Emmanuel Petit. However, the mentioning of recent record signing Thierry Henry in the context of this rumoured mass exodus might lessen the credentials of this Soccernet item. Henry finally joined Arsenal last summer after having been chased by Wenger since before France 98. To sell the young Frenchman after just a few months, and before he's made an impact, would mean financial losses and a huge dent in Wenger's scouting reputation.
