The official Crystal Palace website says the Eagles have signed Matthew Upson on a month's loan. The deal terminates on April 7th, and Upson is expected to go straight into the squad for Saturday's game against Preston NE. Now confirmed by Arsenal. It seems a slightly strange decision given Arsenal's central defensive problems with Keown still injured and Adams as fragile as ever, but presumably Wenger feels Upson needs the competitive practice before he is thrown back into the first team at the top level.
