New Middlesbrough manager Steve McClaren may make a GBP 2 million bid for Arsenal defender Matthew Upson. It all depends on Boro's chances of signing Aston Villa and England defender Gareth Southgate, the Sun reports. Upson, 22, has been plagued by injury the last two seasons, and has yet to make an impact in Arsenal's first XI. When signed from Luton, he was England's most expensive teenage footballer. |
