Arsenal manager Arsène Wenger has tried to calm down the expectations for big summer signings. He believes football's finances have reached their limit, the BBC website reports. "Football relies on television and the money is
getting shorter for TV companies," Wenger said. "Clubs can't get much more from advertising or selling shirts, everybody has reached nearly a maximum there." The manager signalled clearly that the youth development will be more important in the years to come. The most recent example is French starlet Jeremie Aliadiere, who got his Premier League debut on Saturday. "We want to bring the core strength of the club through the youth system," Wenger emphasised. "At the moment, I feel we have enough exceptional players and my next step is to bring through some younger players."
