Fairly quiet in the rumour mill today, but the Sunday papers have still come up with a few Arsenal stories to keep us going until Monday morning.
The News of the World is normally full of Arsenal transfer rumours, but can only find two players to link us with today. The first is Sunderland's Danish international goalkeeper Thomas Sorenson. The News of the World claim that Sorenson is "frustrated with Sunderland's lack of ambition". They rate him in the £10 million bracket and suggest that Arsenal, Man Yoo and Barca will compete for his services this summer.
The same paper is also linking Arsenal with Tranmere's young Irish midfielder Sean Thornton. Middlesbrough are also said to be interested in the player who has made just nine appearances for Rovers.
The Sunday Mirror aren't linking us with anyone, but they do suggest that promising youngster John Halls could be on his way out of Highbury. Crystal Palace is Halls' rumoured destination, the Mirror says the fee will be £300,000.
Finally, The Sunday People claims that Arsene Wenger's new contract with Arsenal will net Le Boss £2.5 million a year. That's less than Sir Alex Ferguson says the People, but more than Europe's other big wage earner Fabio Capello who is rumoured to earn £2.1 million a year. Barcelona boss Carlos Rexach is only on £400,000 a year while Real Madrid's gaffer Vicente Del Bosque has to scrape by on a measly £250,000 so Le Boss has done fairly well for himself.
