Sylvain Wiltord has been playing well lately and looked happy enough after scoring Arsenal's third goal against Sunderland yesterday. But a brief interview in today's News of the World suggests that Super Sylv' is less than happy with life at Highbury.
Wiltord is quoted as saying: "If another club was to offer me more of a goalscoring role then I would leave" and goes on to claim that he feels "unfulfilled" on the right wing.
This kind of story would normally be easy to dismiss, but if these really are Wiltord's words I guess there has to be some truth in them. Ironically many Arsenal fans believe that Wiltord's looked better in a wide role than a more central striking position. He also plays a similiar role for France.
On a brighter note, both The News of the World and The Sunday Mirror are linking us with Blackburn's talented left winger Damien Duff.
Duff has been widely quoted as saying that he'll leave Blackburn if they go down and was subsequently dropped from Rovers starting line-up before yesterday's game against Leicester.
Liverpool and Newcastle are also rumoured to be interested in Duff who, claim the Mirror, would fetch somewhere in the region of £12 million. That would be a lot to pay for a player who would essentially be acting as cover for Robert Pires.
