Silly Season starts again by Rupe

As requested, Arseweb's Silly Season transfer rumour list is up and running again.

From the start date of May 1st, we've got 19 players on the list already (and you can probably help fill in a few we may have missed).

From the Terrace and Tribal Football are the early front-runners for top bullshit-merchants of the year. Hardly surprising given that these websites clearly make stuff up in order to attract hits to their "exclusive" stories.

Please help us keep the list going by using the form on the page to send entries to Jon. Make sure you include a source (preferably with a URL).

As always, the point of the list is mainly to help keep everyone grounded while the less scrupulous papers and websites fill the space between seasons with nonsense. When you hear Arsenal linked with every single class act you see playing in Japan and South Korea next month, we hope our coverage will help you to take the news with a genrous helping of salt.

Remember, last year's list got up to 117 names by the start of the season. We had signed 9 of them, which is actually a pretty high hit-rate. And another one (Tavlaridis) signed later on. Worth remembering also that only 4 of these were players any of us had heard of before...

Rupe adds...
Tuesday afternoon and I've just reactivated the "submit" button on the silly season page so it should work now. Sorry about that, and thanks to the many readers who emailed me to point it out!
