Ipswich want Kanu to lead their attack in their attempt to return to the Premiership this season.

Arsenal are ready to let the out-of-favour forward go for as little as £2million, the Sun reports.

Ipswich offered one million for Kanu at the start of last season, but the bid was unacceptable for Arsenal. Later, the club have slashed their asking price in a bid to remove the Nigeria captain from their wage bill.

Kanu would need to take a big pay cut to become an Ipswich player, however.
