The Guardian claims that Arsenal will sign Uruguayan keeper Fabian Carini on loan from Juventus today, assuming Richard Wright completes his move to Everton. Carini played all Uruguay's games in the World Cup but is being kept out of the Juventus team by Buffon, the Italian no 1.
Most media sources today are reporting that Wright is expected to seal a move to Everton today, for a reported fee of £4.75 - £5m, quoting the player's agent and sources at Everton. Arsenal, as usual, have made no comment.
The Guardian article goes on to further claim that Wenger will use the money raised from Wright's transfer to make another attempt to prise Mark van Bommel from PSV. It also claims Wenger is trying to offload Kanu. |
