Arsenal's latest Brazilian addition could well be World Cup midfielder Gilberto Silva. Quoted by sportinglife.com, his agent is saying that Arsenal have presented a £6m bid to his current club, Atletico Mineiro. Gilberto himself says: 'If both teams agree, then I will talk to Arsenal to agree my contract.' Bearing in mind he probably didn't say that in English, Arseweb cautions against reading too much into that. But it sounds like he's up for the move.
If we can't agree a permanent transfer for Gilberto Silva, there is an alternative. A loan again, naturally. (Younger readers are advised to visit this site promptly.) |
