Arsenal have turned down Sven Neuhaus, a German keeper who have been on a three-day trial. The 24-year-old have returned to Greuter Fürth in the German Second Bundesliga, Planet Football reports. Manager Arsène Wenger is looking for experienced cover for David Seaman, as 22-year-old Stuart Taylor is the only other senior goalkeeper at Arsenal.
Rupe adds...
On of the other keepers on trial has been Rami Shaaban. He is out of contract with Djurgarden at
the end of the Swedish season. Shabaan is 27 and is likely
to be called up to the Swedish side soon, having been
keeping Swedish international Andreas Isaksson on the bench
at club level. See This is Staffordshire, bizarrely.
This still leaves one on-trial keeper to be identified (see here for Wenger's announcement that there have been 4 in all)
