In this article on the official Arsenal site, quotes from M. Wenger suggest that Arsenal could be close to signing a new keeper.
"Not close enough to give any name", though.
What he does say is that he doesn't want to sign a youngster
who would compete with Stuart Taylor and Graham Stack in the
future, but a more experienced player to provide (presumably short term) cover for David Seaman for the rest of this season.
Nigel Martyn, perhaps? He's not cup-tied in the FA Cup or Europe,
and Leeds did allegedly offer him to us for £2million (and there must be room for some haggling, for a player who hasn't played at all this season).
See here for more keeper rumours. Worth noting that most of them to date have been youngsters of the type Wenger says he's not considering just now.
